President and CEO

Dear Mr. Torsella:

I have recently had the opportunity to review in detail the Project Strategic Overview of EdVenture Networks' Time Travellin' Entertainment. I subsequently met with co-founder Granville Burgess. whom I know personally, and shared a conference call with him and co-founder Larry Silverman.

I am most impressed with their efforts to address the tragic ignorance of many of today's youth about the glorious history of our country. Granville and Larry detailed to me their desire to partner with WHYY and the NCC in presenting a series of 12 interstitials on the Constitution in preparation for your opening next July. The mission of Time Travellin' Entertainment -LEARNING VALUES THROUGH HISTORY- seems particularly appropriate for the unveiling of a center celebrating the values of one of mankind's most important political achievements - our U.S. Constitution.

As a life-long advocate of the importance of education for all Americans. I heartily endorse EdVenture Network & idea to use entertainment to engage and educate young people, both here in the U.S. and overseas, about the enduring values of our people and our nation. I encourage you, within your own programming needs, to sit down and discuss with them how you might partner to create the appropriate excitement about the opening of this wonderful Center.

It is my belief that such a partnership would be worthwhile and would be a benefit to our citizens and to the National Constitution Center.

Thanks for your consideration of the above.

Sincerely,

Richard W. Riley
Former U.S. Secretary of Education
